Monroe County Community College issued the following announcement on Jan 28.
We are offering a Pesticide Applicator and Basic Lawn/Turf Maintenance Class -- 30 hours of training will prepare you to sit for the Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development Commercial Core and 3A Turf exams. Certified applicators are eligible to be employed as pesticide applicators at commercial lawn care businesses. When: Tuesday and Thursdays beginning February 1-March 3. Cost: $399 includes textbooks and materials.
Participants will be responsible for obtaining a commercial pesticide certification with MDARD by registering and paying for the exams ($75) upon completion of the training. Registration: Call 734-384-4229 or email rdrouillard@monroeccc.edu.
