Atlanta Community Schools recently issued the following announcement.
Come watch these rival teams battle tonight @home. 6PM girls tip off, but more importantly the two teams are working together to create awareness of substance abuse to their teammates, peers, and younger students. Hoping they as role models talk about the consequences and just "BE SMART-DON'T START" Students below are shown wearing their 2nd Annual Substance Free t-shirts which were provided by the Montmorency County Substance Free Coalition.
Students passed out candy to their peers reminding them "Just Be Smart! Don't Start" #OnePillCanKill
"The project is to help raise awareness of the risk factors of underage use of alcohol and drugs, increase the protective factors for families and students by providing options for prevention and recovery support, both for families and in the schools."
