What's the future of Santa's Magic Forest? Find out on a segment of Taylor Newsbreak

Christmas 1000x667

City of Taylor issued the following announcement on Dec 8.

For the second straight year, Santa's Magic Forest is not part of the holiday season. The popular Christmas event in Heritage Park will remain on hiatus, due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. Santa’s Magic Forest is a mainstay of the holiday season and is widely known as Downriver's finest holiday display. It has been open annually from Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas, and includes hundreds of animated characters (many of which came from the old J.L. Hudson downtown Christmas display), scenes and light displays. Visitors always have an opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

What's the future of Santa's Magic Forest?  Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Drutchas, president of the Board of Directors of the Downriver Fish & Loaves Food Pantry and a key decision-maker in the annual event, discusses the situation with Karl Ziomek on Taylor Newsbreak, featured on the City's Comcast and Wow municipal cable channels. Look for the half-hour show every day beginning at 11:14 a.m. (directly after the replay of the City Council meeting). It is also being show at 7:44 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
