Alpena Public Schools invites qualified educators to apply for the position of Floating Substitute Teacher. This is a position for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year only.
PAY: $135 PER DAY THROUGH ESS GUARANTEED DAILY WORK
Floating Substitute Teachers are assigned to a building in the district and are typically assigned to a classroom when other substitutes cannot be found. We are searching for Floating Substitute Teachers at both the Elementary and Secondary level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow the lesson plans of the regular classroom teacher
Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators
Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation and assessment phases of instructional delivery
Utilize a variety of quality classroom management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful experience as a substitute teacher
Ability to meet certification requirements as a substitute through MDE
Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel
Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills
Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters
High level of flexibility
