Benzie County Central Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 10.
Attention High School students and families… An important message from our National Honor Society.
It’s that time…The time for a little competition to help out those in need.
4 lockers. One assigned to each class; Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors.
Deposit money in your designated locker; no less than a quarter.
On Friday, November 12th, the class with the most money will determine what color Mr. Olson dyes his newly grown and well maintained MOHAWK, which he will proudly sport the week of November 15th-November 19th.
That’s not all. Keep adding money the week of November 15th-November 19th, and the class with the most money in their locker by the end of November 19th, can choose the color that Mr. Olson will dye his MOHAWK (now much fuller and prominent) the week of November 22nd through November 24th.
Money collected in each locker, will go toward providing Thanksgiving meals for four Benzie Central families in need.
Oh, and Mr. Olson has a MOHAWK.
