Alpena County Library issued the following announcement on Sept 9.
As the renovation of our downtown building draws to a close, the Library staff must prepare to relocate materials and workspaces from our temporary locations to our permanent home. While we are unable to provide a firm opening date, we expect to resume public services in mid- to late October. Patrons should keep the following key dates in mind as we begin this transition!
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 will be the final day to place inter-library loan holds. All library holds and services will be suspended until reopen.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 our temporary location in Bear Pointe Plaza will cease operations at 12:00pm (noon). We will no longer offer materials checkout or computer access at this location and will not resume services until we reopen downtown.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 will be the final day to return materials via our outdoor book drop at Bear Pointe Plaza. On September 28, the book drop will be relocated to our downtown location.
