Position Description:
Boyne City Public Schools and Charlevoix Public Schools seek two Varsity Ski Coaches (Boys Head Coach, Girls Head Coach) for the 2021-2022 school year as part of our Cooperative Ski Program, known as the Lake Charlevoix Ski Team.
The ideal candidate is a teacher/coach who demonstrates passion for the sport and a commitment to using the vehicle of educational athletics to teach life lessons and character to young student-athletes on the team.
Requirements:
- Excellent relationship skills and a clear commitment to young people.
- A commitment to integrity in personal and professional interactions.
- Must possess previous coaching experience and experience participating in the sport preferred.
Salary/Length of Contract:
Salary is established based on the “schedule B” contract as a percentage of a base teacher’s pay, and the contract length is seasonal. One coach will be employed through Boyne City Public Schools and one coach will be employed by Charlevoix Public Schools.
