Alpena Public Schools issued the following announcement on Aug 6.
The Alpena Public Schools (APS) is excited to begin the new year and welcome all students back to school on August 30, 2021. The district is excited to announce its annual back-to-school events at all APS buildings on August 24 and August 25.
August 24
- Thunder Bay Junior High 6th Grade and New Student Orientation from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- Alpena High School 9th Grade and New Student Orientation from 1pm to 3pm
- Alpena HIgh School Open House from 4:30pm to 6:00pm
- Thunder Bay Junior High Open House from 4:30pm to 6:00pm (Student Chromebook pick-up will also happen during this time)
- Elementary Open Houses from 5:00pm to 6:30pm (* plans may be changed for building currently under construction)
- Alpena High School 9th Grade Parent Meeting from 6:15pm to 7:15pm
