Benzie County Central Schools issued the following announcement on Aug 4.
Huddleston reflects on college running career, academic achievements -
"MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- These days, Brayden Huddleston is taking a well deserved rest from running.
The 2017 Benzie Central graduate is entering a new frontier with his break from running. For nearly as long as memory serves, he has always been training to become an elite runner. This happened throughout his days at Benzie Central (where he was part of two state championship cross country teams and earned many all-state medals in cross country and track) and more recently his time at Bradley University running NCAA Division 1 cross country and track for the Braves.
Huddleston graduated from Bradley this past spring, however, and now he is settling into a new life with a job about which he is passionate and in which running is suddenly on the back burner.
For Huddleston, this was always the mission.
"I went to school to get a degree and set myself up well for the future, and I was able to accomplish that and start off with a very good job, even in Covid times," said Huddleston, who works for BRP Inc. in the marina division as a design engineer."
