City of Petoskey recently issued the following announcement.
Department of Public Works crews will begin fire hydrant flushing next week and maintenance procedures at various locations throughout the City. Flushing will be accomplished only during daylight hours. Please look for posted signs for hydrant flushing in your area.
Customers might experience discolored water as a result of hydrant-flushing operations. If so, cold water faucets should be opened to allow water to run freely for several minutes until becoming clear.
