CITY OF TRAVERSE: City services at Governmental Center and Department of Public Services available by in-person appointment starting June 15, 2020

Webp meeting 02

City of Traverse issued the following announcement on June 11

On Monday, June 15, The City of Traverse City, in cooperation with Grand Traverse County, will be re-opening their offices within the Governmental Center to the public for in-person service by appointment.   The Department of Public Services Building, on Woodmere Avenue, will continue to be closed to walk-in traffic and is available for in-person service by appointment by calling (231) 922-4910.

The City of Traverse City, for safety reasons, encourages everyone to continue to use “virtual city hall services”, over the phone and online, and only visit the Governmental Center when necessary.   City Commission meetings will continue to be conducted remotely; and information regarding City Commission meetings, including how to view them and make public comment can be found at this link:  https://www.traversecitymi.gov/city_commission.asp

We will be reserving the hours of 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. for appointments with our residents who are at higher risk. This give us the opportunity to provide a safer environment for them to conduct business as the building will have been recently cleaned. The general public is welcome to schedule appointments between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Appointments must be made in advance and anyone coming in for their appointment will be required to wear a mask, as well as practice safe physical distancing while inside the Governmental Center.

The following City offices are located within the Governmental Center and may be reached for services or to schedule an in-person appointment:

City Clerk’s Office (231) 922-4480  tcclerk@traversecitymi.gov
