Northern Lakes Community Mental Health issued the following announcement on March 24.

NLCMHA offices will remain open – 24/7 crisis services will continue

First, please know that we will keep our NLCMHA offices open and continue to provide services. However, we have changed how those services are delivered to help limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Currently most of our staff is working off-site and providing services and support by telephone and video as much as possible. We are limiting face-to-face services to emergencies and confirmed appointments only. People requesting entry to our offices will be required to participate in a health screening. This is helping to limit the spread of the virus and to keep you and our staff safe.

Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis may call the NLCMHA Crisis Line 24/7 at 1-833-295-0616. Individuals who are experiencing increased stress, anxiety or depression may call the NLCMHA Access Line at 1-800-492-5742.

In addition, we subscribe to the evidence-based myStrength health and wellness online resource as a benefit for the community. Anyone can sign up for a free account using our confidential community code. There is a robust stress reduction program available for everyone there. Please call us during business hours at 231-922-4850 or 800-337-8598 or message us through Facebook anytime to get the free code. If you don’t yet have a myStrength account, you may try out the Inner Calm in Turbulent Times activity CLICK HERE and at the end you will be able to sign up for more.
