City of Manistee issued the following announcement on March 25

The Recycling Center has relocated to Manistee Catholic Central along 12th Street. Due to the school closure, MCC has removed the PCA trailer (it has been relocated behind the Bungalow Inn). Dumpsters have been placed at MCC for City residents to utilize for cardboard and paper. They are emptied three times per week. Please do not place any materials outside of the containers.

The annual Yard Waste Program begins on April 28 with weekly curbside pickup. The City has discontinued use of the “City” biodegradable bags. Paper yard waste bags can be purchased at local retailers and used for curbside pick-up.

A one time City-wide bulk leaf/yard waste pickup will occur the week on April 13. Residents are encouraged to place all yard waste along the street. City crews will make one pass through the City. After April 13, yard waste must be placed in paper bags.
