City of Alpena issued the following announcement on Sept. 4
Beginning Saturday, September 7, 2019, the parking lot on Ninth Avenue, located adjacent to the skate park and across the street from Alpena Power Company, will be closed to allow for maintenance work on the water tower. For the duration of this project, the parking lot will be closed to all traffic. This work is expected to take three (3) weeks to complete unless construction or weather delays occur.
